Throughout the year, ALA Oregon Chapter strives to support our community. Join us for this family-friendly event as the Sunshine Division holds their Third Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery event on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Portland International Raceway. Register here.  This is an especially hard time of need for families and individuals in our community and a great opportunity to help. We had a great time last year!

Some important details of the event:

    • Location: Portland International Raceway, 1940 N. Victory Boulevard, Portland, OR 97217.
    • Time slots are at 9:00 am, 9:45 am, and 10:30 am. (see registration link above and below). When you arrive at your specific time slot, you will be able to pick up your boxes and receive the addresses for the recipients, your delivery route, and further instructions.
    • This is contactless delivery where you will leave food at the front door of the recipient.
    • Your car must be able to hold five 30-pound boxes. Volunteer drivers must be 18 years of age or older.
    • This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a friend or family member. You can register as a driver (you will need to provide car insurance and vehicle information) or a passenger to be that dynamic duo. Deliveries work better if there are at two people per vehicle.

      The Sunshine Division needs 400 drivers to be able to serve 2,000 families in need and they can sure use our help! Last year they were able to add more meal deliveries because more drivers volunteered!
